Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul turned 33 on Friday and marked the occasion by sharing a heartfelt post featuring his wife Athiya Shetty and their newborn daughter.Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty were married on January 23, 2023. The couple welcomed their baby girl on March 24 this year. On his birthday, Rahul posted a photo on Instagram with Athiya and their daughter. In the caption, he revealed her name as Evaarah and wrote, “Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah – Gift of God.”

The Karnataka cricketer has been in fine touch in the ongoing IPL 2025. He recently featured in Delhi’s thrilling match against Rajasthan Royals on April 16 at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Batting first, Delhi Capitals posted 188 for 5. Abishek Porel top-scored with 49, while Rahul added 38. Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs contributed 34 each, with Stubbs remaining unbeaten.

In response, Rajasthan Royals' innings was led by fifties from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana. With nine runs needed in the final over and Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer at the crease, Rajasthan seemed set for a win. But Mitchell Starc bowled a tight over and forced a Super Over.

Rajasthan scored 11 in their Super Over. Rahul responded with seven runs off the first three balls. Stubbs then finished the chase with a six, securing victory for Delhi.

Rahul has played five matches this season and has scored 238 runs at an average of 59.50. He has hit two half-centuries so far. His best performance came with an unbeaten 93 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Delhi Capitals are currently leading the points table with 10 points from six matches.
