Opener Finn Allen starred with a blistering 93 off just 35 balls, while Angkrish Raghuvanshi remained unbeaten on 82 from 44 deliveries as KKR posted a massive 247 for 2 after being asked to bat first.

Allen launched a brutal assault on the Gujarat bowlers, smashing 10 sixes and four boundaries during his explosive knock. He shared a 95-run opening partnership in just 41 balls with Raghuvanshi to give Kolkata a flying start.

After Allen’s dismissal, Raghuvanshi continued the momentum and stitched together a 108-run unbeaten stand off 53 balls with Cameron Green, who finished unbeaten on 52.

For Gujarat Titans, Mohammed Siraj and R Sai Kishore picked up one wicket each.

Chasing 248, Gujarat Titans fought back strongly through captain Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler.

Gill struck 85 off 49 balls, while Buttler made 57 from 35 deliveries to keep GT in the contest. Opener Sai Sudharsan retired hurt during the innings but later returned to score an unbeaten 53 off 28 balls.

However, Gujarat ultimately finished on 218 for 4 in their 20 overs.

Veteran all-rounder Sunil Narine led the bowling effort for KKR with figures of 2 for 29, while Saurabh Dubey chipped in with one wicket.

The win helped Kolkata remain alive in the playoff race, while Gujarat Titans missed the chance to strengthen their push for a top-two finish.
