Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) unveiled their new logo ahead of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The Lucknow-based franchise has shifted from its previous blue motif to a red-themed emblem that prominently features three symbols, the Garuda, the Crown and the Elephant. In a statement, the franchise described the new emblem as “more than a design,” calling it a shared identity rooted in the culture of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh.

According to the team, Garuda, a mythological bird figure, represents courage and the ambition to rise above challenges. It reflects the fearless brand of cricket the team aims to play and the belief in achieving collective dreams. The Crown stands for pride and responsibility. The team said it symbolizes the honor of representing millions of supporters each time players step onto the field. At the heart of the emblem is the Elephant, symbolizing strength, wisdom, patience and unity. The franchise said it reflects the steadfast loyalty of fans who continue to support the team regardless of results.

Shashwat Goenka, owner of Lucknow Super Giants and vice chairman of RPSG Group, said the new logo holds deep emotional significance for the franchise. “This new logo is deeply emotional for us. The people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh welcomed the Super Giants into their hearts from day one. This symbol is a tribute to that love and belief,” Mr Goenka said.

He said the Garuda symbolizes the team’s aspiration to rise higher, the Crown reflects the pride carried each time the side takes the field, and the Elephant represents the strength and loyalty associated with the region. “Garuda reflects our dreams to rise higher. The Crown reflects the pride you place on us every time we take the field. And the Elephant reflects the strength and loyalty that defines this region,” he said.

“This is not just a change in identity. It is a promise. A promise that we will honour this city, respect our roots, and compete with heart. Every run, every wicket, every moment will carry the emotion of our fans,” he added.

Lucknow Super Giants will compete in the 2026 edition of the IPL with a squad featuring Rishabh Pant, Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, Mohammed Shami and Wanindu Hasaranga among others.
