Mumbai Indians, five-time IPL champions, will play their first match against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
In this game, India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav will lead the team. Regular captain Hardik Pandya will miss the match because he is serving a one-game suspension for slow over-rate violations during IPL 2024. Yadav has captained Mumbai before in IPL 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders. In that match, he scored 43 runs and helped the team win by five wickets while chasing 186.
