South Africa national cricket team captain won the toss and elected to bat against New Zealand national cricket team in the fourth T20I of the South Africa tour of New Zealand at Sky Stadium in Wellington Sunday, March 22, 2026. All-rounder James Neesham is leading New Zealand for the first time in T20 internationals, becoming the 12th player to captain the side in the format. He replaces Tom Latham, who was ruled out with a thumb injury sustained in the previous match.

New Zealand handed a debut to Katene Clarke, who comes in for Latham in the playing XI. South Africa also included a debutant, with 32-year-old off-spinning allrounder Prenelan Subrayen named in the side alongside Ottneil Baartman.

New Zealand leads the series 2-1 and can seal it with a win, while South Africa is aiming to level the contest after consecutive defeats.
