New Zealand vs South Africa: New Zealand national cricket team bounced back from a poor start to the series to defeat South Africa national cricket team by 68 runs in the second T20I on Wednesday, leveling the five-match series.

Batting first, New Zealand posted 175 for 6, led by Devon Conway, who scored 60 off 49 balls. Josh Clarkson provided a late boost with an unbeaten 26 off nine deliveries to lift the total.

Conway anchored the innings after New Zealand were reduced to early setbacks following a steady powerplay start. He shared a 37-run stand with Nick Kelly and reached his half-century before being dismissed in the 16th over.

In reply, South Africa were bowled out for 107 in 15.3 overs, with Lockie Ferguson and Ben Sears taking three wickets each.

Sears struck early, while Mitchell Santner chipped in with two wickets as South Africa collapsed from 59 for 3 to 91 for 7 in quick succession.

George Linde top-scored with 33, but lacked support as wickets continued to fall. Ferguson wrapped up the innings, sealing a comprehensive win for the hosts.

New Zealand’s victory levels the five-match series at 1-1.
