Pakistan national cricket team batter Salman Ali Agha was left visibly frustrated after a controversial run-out by Mehidy Hasan Miraz during the second One-Day International between Bangladesh national cricket team in Mirpur on Friday, March 13, 2026. The incident occurred in the 39th over of Pakistan’s innings when Agha was batting on 64. His partner Mohammad Rizwan defended a delivery from Miraz back toward the bowler. The ball appeared to deflect off Agha as Miraz collided with him while trying to field it.

Agha, who had stepped out of his crease, bent down to pick up the ball and return it to the bowler. However, Miraz quickly collected the ball himself and underarmed a throw to break the stumps with Agha still outside the crease.

The decision was referred to the third umpire, who ruled Agha run out. The dismissal left the Pakistan batter visibly angry. Agha departed after scoring 64 off 62 balls and was seen throwing his gloves and helmet on the ground in frustration before leaving the field.

The dismissal quickly sparked debate among fans and commentators about the spirit of cricket, even though the run-out was within the laws of the game.

Earlier, Miraz had won the toss and elected to field in the second match of the three-game ODI series. Bangladesh entered the contest with a 1-0 lead after fast bowler Nahid Rana claimed 5-24 to bowl Pakistan out for 114 in the opening match, which Bangladesh won by eight wickets.

Bangladesh retained the same playing XI for the second ODI. Pakistan made one change, bringing back fast bowler Haris Rauf in place of leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed. Pakistan had also given another opportunity to its inexperienced batters, including Sahibzada Farhan, Shamyl Hussain, Maaz Sadaqat and Abdul Samad, all of whom struggled against Bangladesh’s bowling attack in the opening match.
