Pakistan National Cricket Team vs Namibia National Cricket Team Match: Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bat against Namibia in their Group A clash of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the Sinhalese Sports Club on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
Agha said Pakistan aim to put runs on the board and pressure the opposition. “We have played two games here, it is a good pitch, we want to put runs on the board and put pressure on them. When you come to the World Cup you have to pretty much win every game. We batted well against USA and have to do the same,” he said. Pakistan have made two changes to their playing XI for the clash.
The team enters the match under pressure after a defeat to India in their previous Group A fixture. A win against Namibia will secure Pakistan’s place in the Super 8s, while a loss could leave them at risk of elimination.
Namibia, led by Gerhard Erasmus, have already been eliminated following defeats to India and the United States. Erasmus expressed confidence in his side despite their outsider status. “Really like it here. We are accustomed to this kind of weather at home. We have to show we are a good T20 side. We have two changes,” he said.
