Pakistan National Cricket Team vs United States of America National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: A brisk 73 from opener Sahibzada Farhan helped Pakistan post 190 for nine against the United States in a Group A match of the T20 World Cup on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Farhan struck 73 off 41 balls, while Babar Azam made 46 from 32 deliveries, as the pair added 81 runs for the third wicket to steady the innings at the Sinhalese Sports Club.
Pakistan were 56 for no loss in five overs after being put in to bat. But pacer Shadley van Schalkwyk turned the game in the sixth over, dismissing Saim Ayub and captain Salman Agha in the space of five balls. Pakistan slipped to 56 for two after the powerplay.
Farhan countered with aggressive strokeplay, clearing the ropes with ease. He particularly targeted spinner Milind Kumar, hitting him for towering sixes. The right-hander brought up his ninth T20 half-century — and his first in a T20 World Cup — off 27 balls.
At the other end, Babar took time to settle before accelerating. He hit left-arm spinner Harmeet Singh for a six and two fours in the 12th over as Pakistan’s scoring rate climbed close to 10 runs an over.
Babar was eventually dismissed for 46 when Milind Kumar took a diving catch in the deep off Mohammad Mohsin.
Farhan also fell soon after, caught near the long-off boundary by Sanjay Krishnamurthi off Harmeet Singh.
Despite losing wickets in the final overs, Shadab Khan provided late momentum with a quick 30 off 12 balls, lifting Pakistan to a competitive total.
Van Schalkwyk was the pick of the USA bowlers with figures of 4 for 25.
Scorecard: Pakistan 190 for 9 in 20 overs (Sahibzada Farhan 73, Babar Azam 46; Shadley van Schalkwyk 4/25).
