Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI: Pakistan national cricket team were bowled out for 274 after a late batting collapse against the Bangladesh national cricket team in the second one-day international at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday, March 13, 2026.
Pakistan appeared set for a much bigger total after a strong start from Maaz Sadaqat and a century partnership between Salman Ali Agha and captain Mohammad Rizwan. However, Bangladesh triggered a dramatic collapse as Pakistan lost their last seven wickets for 44 runs.
Sadaqat provided early momentum with a rapid 75 off 46 balls, striking boundaries regularly to give Pakistan a flying start. His aggressive innings helped Pakistan race past 100 inside the opening phase of the innings before he was dismissed by Bangladesh allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
After the early breakthroughs, Agha and Rizwan steadied the innings with a 109-run partnership during the middle overs. Agha scored 64 while Rizwan played a supporting role as the pair guided Pakistan to 231 for 3 with more than 11 overs remaining.
The turning point came with a controversial run-out involving Agha and Miraz. After Agha drove the ball back toward the bowler, he inadvertently stopped it with his foot while outside his crease. Miraz retrieved the ball and threw down the stumps at the non-striker’s end with Agha well short, prompting Bangladesh to appeal. Agha was given out, ending the partnership and shifting momentum in Bangladesh’s favour.
Bangladesh capitalised quickly. Rizwan was dismissed two balls later while attempting an aggressive shot, and Pakistan’s lower order struggled to recover as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Legspinner Rishad Hossain led Bangladesh’s bowling with three wickets for 56 runs, while Miraz maintained tight control, conceding just 34 runs in his 10 overs.
Pakistan’s collapse continued as Hussain Talat fell attempting a big shot, and a mix-up in the middle saw Abdul Samad run out, exposing the tail.
Bangladesh eventually wrapped up the innings with 15 balls remaining, limiting Pakistan to a total that had once looked likely to exceed 320.
Brief Score: Pakistan 274 all out (Sadaqat 75, Agha 64, Rishad 3-56) vs Bangladesh
