PSL 2026, KRK vs RWP: Karachi Kings captain David Warner has downplayed speculation of a rift with teammate Moeen Ali following a viral video from their Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 match against Rawalpindiz. The clip, widely circulated on social media platform X, appeared to show Warner in an animated exchange with Moeen before team director Haider Azhar intervened and guided him away. The visuals sparked online chatter suggesting possible tension between the two senior players.
Warner, however, dismissed the claims, responding directly to one of the posts. “I said to @HaiderAzhar to go first and shake hands,” Warner wrote, clarifying the situation.
Azhar also rejected the speculation, indicating there was no disagreement within the camp. “Not true! Both of them were making fun of me!” he posted.
The off-field chatter did little to affect Karachi’s performance, as they secured a five-wicket win over Rawalpindi in a high-scoring contest.
Chasing 198, Warner led from the front with a composed half-century to anchor the innings. The momentum was then seized by Azam Khan, who produced a match-winning knock of 74 off 34 balls, including six sixes and six fours, to take the game away from the opposition.
Karachi completed the chase with four balls to spare, maintaining control of the required rate throughout the innings.
With the victory, Karachi Kings moved to the top of the PSL 2026 standings with six points from three matches.
