Mumbai Indians Women won the toss and chose to field against Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women in the seventh match of the Women’s Premier League 2025 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday.
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur said the decision was based on conditions favoring bowlers early in the innings. “We have seen that the first six overs are good for bowling, so we are going to chase,” she said.
RCB captain Smriti Mandhana expressed confidence in her team’s form and the support from fans. “It’s massive for the team to have fans around, it only motivates us. We have done well in the last two games, but cricket is a game where we start from zero,” Mandhana said. She added that the team would field an unchanged playing XI.
Mumbai also retained the same squad as they look to continue their strong run in the tournament.
