MI vs KKR IPL 2026: Rohit Sharma became the first Indian cricketer to complete 550 sixes in T20 cricket during Mumbai Indians’s Indian Premier League 2026 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium. Rohit reached the milestone with his third six of the innings while opening the batting in Mumbai’s chase.

The landmark came in his 464th T20 appearance, placing him ninth on the all-time list of six-hitters in the format. He trails players such as Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Alex Hales, Jos Buttler, Colin Munro and Glenn Maxwell. Among Indian batters, Virat Kohli is next on the list with more than 440 sixes.

In the IPL, Rohit has hit more than 300 sixes, second only to Gayle, and is the only player to have struck more than 250 sixes for Mumbai Indians. Kieron Pollard is the only other player with over 200 sixes for the franchise.
