Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, Team India won the 2025 Champions Trophy, marking their third title win and ending a 12-year wait for an ICC trophy. Although Pakistan hosted the tournament, Team India played all their matches in Dubai due to security concerns and their refusal to travel to Pakistan. All of India’s matches were held at international stadiums in Dubai.
Recently, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, along with star players Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, met His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai. ICC Chairman Jay Shah was also present during the meeting, which took place in Mumbai.

India defeated New Zealand in the final to claim the 2025 Champions Trophy title, avenging their loss in the 2000 final. Team India had previously won the tournament in 2002 (as joint champions with Sri Lanka) and in 2013 (against England). With this latest win, India has become the most successful team in the history of the Champions Trophy.
