Music industry's legend singer Asha Bhosle passed away on Sunday April 12, 2026, afternoon in Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. She was admitted to the hospital on April 11, 2026, evening, reportedly due to a chest infection and exhaustion.

On Monday, April 13, final rites of legendary singer Asha Bhosle are scheduled to take place at 4 pm at the Shivaji Park Crematorium, ahead of which celebrities and loved ones gave a final tribute to the singer. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali met family members of Asha Bhosle and paid last tribute to the singer. While speaking to the family, Sachin Tendulkar and his wife got emotional.

Sachin Tendulkar was visibly emotional while paying his respects to Asha Bhosle, reflecting a personal loss beyond the passing of a cultural icon. Tendulkar, who has often cited Bhosle's songs as part of his upbringing, openly grieved the singer's death. The two shared a bond of mutual admiration; Bhosle, who considered Tendulkar with affection, recently attended Arjun Tendulkar's wedding in Jamnagar, believed to be her last public appearance.
