Sachin Tendulkar rolled back the years with a vintage knock, but India Masters suffered a 95-run defeat against Australia Masters in the International Masters League T20 2025 at the BCA Stadium.

Chasing a massive target of 270, Tendulkar led from the front with a scintillating 64 off 33 balls. The India Masters captain opened the innings and took his team off to a flying start. Despite wickets falling at the other end, he kept the chase alive with his signature stroke play and aggressive intent. The 51-year-old struck seven fours and four sixes, including two consecutive sixes in the third over that electrified the crowd.

Tendulkar reached his half-century in just 27 balls but fell soon after, caught by Xavier Doherty off Daniel Christian. His dismissal at 100/3 proved to be the turning point as India Masters struggled to maintain the momentum. Yusuf Pathan added 25 runs, but the rest of the lineup failed to cross 20. India Masters were bowled out for 174, handing Australia Masters a comfortable victory. Doherty was the standout bowler, taking five wickets.

Earlier, Australia Masters dominated with the bat. Shane Watson smashed 110 runs, while Ben Dunk remained unbeaten on 132. Their brutal centuries left India Masters bowlers helpless as Australia posted a towering 269 for 1 in 20 overs.

Despite Tendulkar’s heroics, India Masters could not match the opposition’s firepower, suffering a heavy defeat in the high-scoring contest.
