Glenn got a call up after her impressive outing in this year's Women's Cricket Super League, where she scalped 11 wickets at 18.72 for semi-finalists Loughborough Lightning. All-rounder Mady Villiers, who made her first and only international appearance in a T20I during this year's Ashes series in July, has also retained her place in the squad.

Meanwhile, England have also recalled fast bowler Freya Davies, who featured in the three-match away T20I series against Sri Lanka this year in March.

With the ICC Women's T20 World Cup less than 100 days away, England will be looking to find the right combination for the mega event. Their skipper, Heather Knight, said this tour is an opportunity to start a new era with some new faces in her team.

"We're looking forward to getting out there and getting back to international cricket. It's been a few months since our last game and there's been a fair bit of change in that time so this tour is an opportunity to start a new era and move forward. There's a few younger faces in the group but also a lot of proven talent. I'm really happy with the group and we can't wait for the next few months," Knight was quoted as saying by the ICC.

All the six matches will be held at Malaysia's Kinrara Oval.

England squad: Heather Knight (Captain), Tammy Beaumont, Katherine Brunt, Kate Cross, Freya Davies, Sophie Ecclestone, Sarah Glenn, Kirstie Gordon, Amy Jones, Nat Sciver, Anya Shrubsole, Mady Villiers, Fran Wilson, Lauren Winfield, Danni Wyatt.
