BCCI set to send two selectors Abey Kuruvilla and Debasis Mohanty to Sri Lanka with the Indian cricket team. “They are already in Mumbai and are quarantining with other members of the touring party,” the office-bearer said as quoted by Cricbuzz.BCCI in December had named Chetan Sharma, Abbey Kuruvilla, and Debasis Mohanty as national selectors.

India is scheduled to play three One Day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals in July. Shikhar Dhawan has been named the captain of the second-string Indian side while Bhuvneswar Kumar will be on the vice-captain duty. All the matches are poised to be staged at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium, Colombo.

Rahul Dravid will travel with the side as head coach with an 18-member support staff accompanying the 25-member side. Sudhir Asnani of Indore, a former international panel umpire, will accompany the side as the manager. The team will leave for Sri Lanka on Monday (June 28). The first game of the six-match series starts on July 13.The BCCI has not sent any selector to the UK, where the Indian team just played the World Test Championship final. Given the restrictions over travel to UK from India, there is no guarantee that any member of the selection committee will be in England for the five-Test series that starts on August 4.
