During the innings, Hetmyer also crossed 1,500 runs in Twenty20 Internationals. He reached the milestone with his 21st run of the match, becoming the 11th West Indies batter to achieve the mark. Playing his 80th T20I, Hetmyer has scored nine half-centuries in the format, with a highest score of 85 not out.
Hetmyer also equalled the record for the fastest fifty in the ongoing tournament. Aiden Markram had earlier reached his half-century in 19 balls against New Zealand in the same edition.
