Gujarat Titans (GT) honoured captain Shubman Gill for his stellar 2025 season in international cricket at the franchise’s 'Shubharambh 2026' event in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Monday, March 23, 2026. The right-handed batter finished 2025 as the highest run-scorer in international cricket, amassing 1,764 runs at an average of 49. He also delivered a record-breaking performance in the Test series against England, scoring 754 runs in five matches — the most by an Indian captain in a single Test series.
Gill was earlier named the recipient of the Polly Umrigar Award for Best International Cricketer (Men) for the 2024-25 season at the BCCI Naman Awards held in New Delhi on March 15.
Gujarat Titans will open their campaign with an away fixture against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur on March 31. The team will then return home to face Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on April 4.
The franchise is also scheduled to play away matches against Delhi Capitals on April 8 and Lucknow Super Giants on April 12.
Since its debut in 2022, Gujarat Titans have emerged as one of the league’s most consistent teams, reaching the playoffs in three of their first four seasons and winning the title in their inaugural year.
