Sri Lanka National Cricket Team vs England National Cricket Team Match: Sri Lanka on Wednesday named a 17-player squad for the three-match ODI series against England, led by Charith Asalanka. The squad includes a mix of experience and youth. Alongside Asalanka, the batting line-up features Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Kamil Mishara and Sadeera Samarawickrama. The middle order has Dhananjaya de Silva, Kamindu Mendis and Janith Liyanage.

England, captained by Harry Brook, will play the ODIs and a T20I series ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India. The visitors named their playing XI for the opener on Wednesday, including six players who recently featured in England’s 4-1 Ashes loss in Australia.
