India Women’s National Cricket Team vs New Zealand Women’s National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Opener Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal struck contrasting centuries as India piled up 340 for three against New Zealand in a rain-interrupted 49-overs-a-side match of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 at DY Patil Stadium on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Mandhana scored 109 off 95 balls, hitting ten boundaries and three sixes. Rawal compiled 122 off 134 balls with 13 boundaries and two sixes. Together, they shared a 212-run partnership for the first wicket, the highest for India in women’s ODIs.
Jemimah Rodrigues provided a late push, scoring a rapid 76 not out off 38 balls. India lost only three wickets in the innings.
The match faced a short rain break in the final two overs, reducing each side’s innings by one over and shortening the mid-innings interval to 10 minutes.
Mandhana and Rawal started cautiously. Mandhana reached her fifty off 49 balls and later her century off 88 deliveries, surviving a close LBW call thanks to DRS. Rawal, meanwhile, equalled a 37-year-old world record, becoming the joint-fastest batter to 1,000 ODI runs in 23 innings.
India scored steadily, making 40 without loss in the Powerplay. The team added 75 runs in overs 11-20 and 73 in overs 21-30. Rawal then built a second-wicket partnership of 76 with Rodrigues.
New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine used seven bowlers, but none could contain the Indian batters on a flat, batting-friendly track.
Scorecard: India 340/3 in 49 overs (Smriti Mandhana 109, Pratika Rawal 122, Jemimah Rodrigues 76 not out; Suzie Bates 1-40, Rosemary Mair 1-52) vs. New Zealand.
