With India advancing to the final after defeating England in the semi-final, fans are gearing up for the highly anticipated clash against New Zealand on March 8. The summit clash of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup will take place at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Anticipating a massive turnout for the final, Western Railway has introduced several special superfast trains to help cricket fans travel conveniently to the venue. The move aims to handle the surge in passenger demand as thousands are expected to travel to Ahmedabad to witness the high-stakes encounter.
The railway zone announced that these special services will operate between Saturday night and Sunday morning, ensuring that supporters reach the city in time for the final. Key routes covered by these trains include Bandra Terminus–Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad–Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, and Ahmedabad–Pune. All services will run on special fares and are designed to manage the heavy rush of passengers heading to the match.
The announcement was shared through the official social media account of Western Railway, stating that the additional trains were introduced to meet the growing travel demand as fans make their way to Ahmedabad for the much-awaited final.
Passengers can now book tickets for these special services at PRS counters or online through the IRCTC website.
