England's Stuart Board has slammed the ICC for not having a reserved day for the Women's T20 World Cup semi-finals after the game between India and England was abandoned. An unbeaten India looked to lock horns with a confident England only to find out that rain was going to play spoilsport without a ball being bowled. Cricket Australia revealed that ICC did not give the required permission to have a reserve day for the semi-finals despite being informed of bad weather.
The rule states that the team with more wins in the group-stages will qualify to the final if the semi-final gets washed out. And that is exactly what happened as the first semi-final was finally called off and on the basis of India's four wins against England's three. India have now qualified for their first ever T20 Women's World Cup final. In the second semi-final South Africa will lock horns with Australia. A reserve day has been arranged for the final in case if it rains on Sunday. Check out Stuart Board's reply on the India England game being washed out.
