New Zealand National Cricket Team vs India National Cricket Team Match: Several members of the Indian cricket team visited the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram on Friday morning, a day before the fifth and final Twenty20 International against New Zealand. The players reached the city on January 29 and arrived at the temple around 9.15 a.m. on Friday, January 30, 2026.  

Wearing traditional attire, the group included India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, all-rounder Axar Patel, and batters Rinku Singh and Varun Chakravarthy. Spin bowlers Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi were also present, along with fielding coach T. Dilip. The team members spent about 30 minutes inside the temple complex.

The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, located in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram, is one of the most revered Hindu shrines in South India and is known for its long history and detailed architecture.

India and New Zealand will meet in the fifth and final T20I on Saturday. It will be India’s last T20 International before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

India hold an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series. After losing the first three matches, New Zealand bounced back in the fourth T20I in Visakhapatnam, winning by 50 runs.
