India national cricket team spinner Kuldeep Yadav will marry his fiancée Vanshika on Saturday in a grand ceremony in the hill town of Mussoorie, with several of Indian cricket’s biggest names expected to attend. According to the media reports, former India captains Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are set to be among the high-profile guests. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, who was part of India’s triumphant campaign in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup alongside Kuldeep, is also expected to attend.
Several other prominent cricket personalities are also expected at the ceremony. Former India great Sunil Gavaskar, current India T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, and T20 World Cup-winning players Rinku Singh and Tilak Varma are among the guests likely to attend. Yuzvendra Chahal arrived in Dehradun on Friday to attend the wedding celebrations and expressed excitement about the occasion. “I am very excited for my brother’s marriage. I will dance a lot and enjoy,” Chahal told reporters, describing Kuldeep as a close friend.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep’s father, Ram Singh Yadav, recently met Yogi Adityanath to personally invite him to the wedding.
The wedding celebrations will take place at the historic Savoy Hotel Mussoorie, which has reportedly been fully booked for the event for two to three days. Preparations and decorations were already underway at the venue ahead of the ceremony.
Media reports said Kuldeep had originally planned to marry in November 2025 but postponed the ceremony to focus on helping India win the 2026 T20 World Cup. During the tournament, Kuldeep played one match and returned figures of 1-14 against Pakistan in the group stage.
Kuldeep and Vanshika, both from Kanpur, grew up just a few kilometers apart. The couple got engaged last year in Lucknow. Vanshika currently works as an employee of the Life Insurance Corporation of India.
