Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine missed Wednesday’s IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals due to illness. KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane confirmed the West Indian all-rounder’s absence during the toss. Moeen Ali replaced him in the playing XI.
“Sunil Narine misses out, he’s not well. Moeen Ali comes in,” Rahane said after winning the toss and opting to bowl.
Narine has been a vital player for KKR. He contributes with both bat and ball. In the opening game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, he scored 44 off 26 balls. He also took one wicket while conceding 27 runs in his four-over spell.
