Jintimani Kalita has been signed by Gujarat Giants to replace Titas Sadhu for the remainder of the ongoing Women’s Premier League.

Right-arm seamer Sadhu has been ruled out of the tournament with an unspecified injury. She had not played for the Giants this season and has featured in only seven matches over the last three WPL seasons due to ongoing injury issues. Sadhu’s last appearance for India was in the three-match ODI series in Rajkot more than a year ago.

Kalita, a left-handed batter and right-arm medium pace bowler, joins the Giants for a fee of INR 10 lakh. She played 13 matches for Mumbai Indians during their championship-winning campaigns in 2023 and 2025.
