Oman National Cricket Team vs Zimbabwe National Cricket Team Match Scorecard: Zimbabwe began their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a commanding win over Oman at the Sinhalese Sports Club on Monday, February 9, 2026. The Sikandar Raza-led side successfully chased down 104 runs to claim victory in their Group B opener.

Oman’s top order collapsed early after being invited to bat. Blessing Muzarabani struck in the powerplay, removing Jatinder Singh, Aamir Kaleem and Karan Sonavale to leave Oman reeling. Richard Ngarava joined in, dismissing Hammad Mirza, Jiten Ramanandi and Vinayak Shukla, while Brad Evans claimed three wickets including Sufyan Mehmood. Skipper Raza also contributed by dismissing Wasim Ali. Oman were restricted to 103, their lowest total against Zimbabwe in a T20 World Cup match.

Zimbabwe’s chase started strongly with Tadiwanashe Marumani scoring 21 off 11 balls before being caught by Wasim Ali. Dion Myers followed shortly for a duck, leaving Zimbabwe at 43 for 2 at the end of the powerplay. Brian Bennett and Brendan Taylor then built an unbeaten 59-run partnership to guide the team home. Bennett and Raza finished the chase in 13.3 overs, with Taylor retired hurt on 31.

Muzarabani, Ngarava and Evans all finished with three wickets each, highlighting Zimbabwe’s dominant pace attack. Ngarava now has 111 T20I wickets, Raza 103, and Muzarabani is closing in on 100 wickets with 96 scalps. The pacers’ nine-wicket haul marked the first time Zimbabwe achieved this in a T20I.

Earlier, Scotland defeated tournament debutants Italy by 73 runs in an all-European Group B fixture in Kolkata. South Africa will kick off their campaign against Canada later in Ahmedabad.
