The Lucknow Super Giants and defending champions Gujarat Titans hold the second and third positions, respectively. The previous week was a historic one for the IPL, as for the first time in the tournament's history, all the home teams experienced defeats in matches held during the week.

This week, five teams, namely Punjab Kings, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders have suffered losses while playing at home.

In the 15th match of the 16th season of the IPL, the Lucknow Super Giants faced off against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. After winning the toss, RCB batted first and scored 212 for 2 in 20 overs. However, chasing the target of 213 runs, Lucknow played as a cohesive team, with Marcus Stoinis (65) and Nicholas Pooran (62) helping Lokesh Rahul's team secure a victory over Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

In their first victory of the season, Mumbai Indians, the most successful team in IPL history, defeated Delhi Capitals. Rohit Sharma, the team captain, scored 65 runs in 45 balls to lead Mumbai to victory at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Delhi batted first and scored 172 all out in 19.4 overs. In the chase, Mumbai achieved victory with the help of Rohit Sharma's (65) and Tilak Verma's (41) innings. Mumbai won the game on the last ball, defeating Delhi.

In the seventeenth match of IPL's 16th season, Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings at their home ground with a splendid victory. Despite facing a target of 176 runs, Chennai could only manage to score 172 for 8 in the given 20 overs. Rajasthan, on the other hand, clinched a win by three runs and earned two points.

On Wednesday, the defending champions Gujarat Titans won against Punjab Kings at their home ground in Mohali by 6 wickets and 1 ball. Punjab, led by Shikhar Dhawan, batted first and scored 153 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Gujarat chased the target and scored 154 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.5 overs to secure their victory.

During yesterday's match at the Eden Gardens, Harry Brook of Sunrisers Hyderabad smashed a century against the host team Kolkata. Hyderabad scored a massive total of 228 for 4 in 20 overs batting first. In reply, KKR's Nitish Rana (75) and Rinku Singh (58) played brilliantly but failed to lead their team to victory while chasing the mammoth target of 229 runs. Eventually, Hyderabad won the match by 23 runs.
