Rohit Sharma, the captain of Mumbai Indians, turned 36 years old today. Coincidentally, his team is playing the 1000th match in the history of IPL on the same day as his birthday.

Rohit Sharma, captain of Mumbai Indians and Indian cricket team, was born on April 30, 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Raised by his grandfather and uncle in Dombivali, he debuted in international cricket in 2007 and made his Test debut in 2013. He has played 49 Test matches, 243 ODIs, and 148 T20 games. Rohit has won the highest number of IPL trophies as a captain.
