The current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is happening now. A few experienced players are doing well, while some old players are facing difficulties.

One such player who has been struggling in the current IPL season is Sunil Narine, an all-rounder for Kolkata Knight Riders. He has not been successful in taking any wickets in the last four matches. Due to poor performance, KKR is currently positioned at the eighth spot in the points table.

The start of IPL 2023 has not been kind to KKR. Out of the 7 matches they have played, they have only managed to win 2 matches, with Nitish Rana as their captain. Unfortunately, they have lost 5 matches.

Sunil Narine, a spinner of 34 years, made his international debut in 2011 and was successful in trapping Virat Kohli in his net in his first match in ODIs. So far, he has taken 484 wickets in Twenty20 matches.

In the current season of IPL, Sunil Narine has been struggling to maintain his form. In the recent match against Chennai Super Kings, he was unable to take a wicket and gave away 23 runs in just two overs.

Sunil Narine has had a poor run in IPL 2023, managing to take only six wickets in seven matches. His best performance was when he took three wickets for 33 runs. In comparison, the young spinner Suyash Sharma, who is playing in his first IPL season, has been able to take seven more wickets than Narine.

Varun Chakravarthy, a mystery spinner, has performed well as a bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders by taking 10 wickets in the IPL 2023 season. In contrast, Sunil Narine has taken 484 wickets in his cricketing career, consisting of 446 matches, with his best performance being 5 wickets for 19 runs.

It is noteworthy that Narine has taken 4 wickets on 12 occasions throughout his career. Being one of the legends of West Indies cricket, he has grabbed 52 wickets in 51 Twenty20 Internationals.

In addition to his spin bowling skills, Sunil Narine is also known for his aggressive batting. He has amassed a total of 3,425 runs in 280 innings, with 13 half-centuries to his name.

At present, the Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Nitish Rana, are facing a difficult time in the IPL. Out of the seven matches played so far, the team has been able to win only two.
