Yash Dayal, a young pacer, was purchased by Gujarat Titans for Rs. 3.20 crore during the IPL 2022 mega auction. He made his debut season remarkable by taking 11 wickets in 9 matches.

Yash Dayal, who hails from Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, was also selected in the Indian team during their tour of Bangladesh. However, he now holds an unfortunate record. Yash comes from a family of fast bowlers as his father, Chandrapal, was also a bowler.

In domestic cricket, Rinku Singh and Yash Dayal both play for the Uttar Pradesh team and they are teammates.

In the match held yesterday, Rinku Singh remained not out while scoring 48 runs off 21 balls, with the assistance of six sixes and one four. The team of KKR achieved a total of 207 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the 20 overs played, thereby preventing the Gujarat Titans from winning.
