Deep Griha Society’s rural project, Deep Griha Academy, is an inclusive school located in Daund Taluka, Pune. The school provides education from Nursery to Grade 8 and has been committed to vocational studies and organic agricultural practices since its inception. In addition to academics, students at Deep Griha Academy engage in applied theatre games, sports, karate, Hindustani vocal music, tabla, contemporary dance, and various community outreach activities. Through these programs, the academy nurtures students to become conscious and responsible citizens.
The school also runs regular individual and group counselling sessions, classes for special needs children, integrated support classes for children with learning gaps and behavioural issues. To complete the cycle of support at home, the academy conducts parental workshops for parents and adults in the community. Deep Griha Academy’s dedicated teachers actively visit the community every Friday, conducting educational activities for dropout students, children of sugarcane workers, and brick kiln laborers. The academy believes that while its efforts make an impact, they are merely a few drops in the ocean. We urge individuals and organizations to come forward and contribute to this cause.
