Maharashtra RTE Result 2025-26 Announced: First List for 25% Private School Admissions Released at student.maharashtra.gov.in
The Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department has announced the first list of students for those selected in 25% reservation under Right to Education (RTE) on Friday, February 14. The RTE lottery draw or result for admission in private schools was conducted on February 10. After selection, parents of selected children must complete the admission procedure before February 28, 2025.
The Maharashtra RTE lottery results 2025-26 were published on the official website at student.maharashtra.gov.in. Parents who filled out the form and applied online must have received an SMS on their registered mobile number regarding the selection in the first list. However, for those who do not receive SMS, their children will appear in the second or third list.
The SMS will be received from the sender name 'JM-MAHEDU' and contain the RTE Application number with the selected school name.
How to Check Maharashtra RTE Admission Result 2025
1. Visit the official website at student.maharashtra.gov.in.
2. Scroll down below and click on 'Selected.'
3. Select 'Academic Year', 'Selection list No' and 'District', and press 'Go.
4. The list will appear with the application number, name, medium, standard, date of birth and school name.
5. To check the applicant's name, enter the student's name in the search bar.
The RTE admission application process for the 2025–26 session was open from January 14, 2025, to January 27, 2025. Later, the date for online application form filling was extended to February 2, 2025, through student.maharashtra.gov.in. According to the official website, 305152 applications were received, out of which 101916 applicants were selected in the first list declared on February 14. 85406 students are on the waiting list.
After selection in the RTE lottery, parents need to go through the document verification process. The Group Education Officers and Administrative Officers will conduct the document verification. These committees will conduct an initial review of documents submitted by parents. If verified, the student's admission will be recorded online, and a provisional allotment letter will be issued.
Documents Required
1. Income Certificate of Parents.
2. Child's Birth Certificate.
3. Ration Card.
4. Student's Aadhaar Card.
5. Address proof (Light bill).
The final confirmation will be granted after document verification. Parents need to attend document verification before February 28, 2025. Any admission obtained through false information will be cancelled at any stage.
