The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has postponed the exam that was scheduled for August 24, 2024. The decision was made during a commission meeting held on Thursday, August 22. In the joint meeting, it was decided that the new date for the Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination 2024 will be announced soon.

This comes just days after MPSC aspirants in Pune outside Ahilya Library in Navi Peth protested, demanding the inclusion of 258 posts from the Agriculture Department in the MPSC exam. They also called for the MPSC to postpone the exam, as the scheduled date of August 25 conflicts with the IBPS exam, affecting candidates who are appearing for both.

MPSC board in a post on X informed, “In the commission meeting held, it has been decided to postpone the Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination 2024 scheduled on 25th August 2024. The new exam date will be announced soon.”
