A video of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s audition for the film Laapataa Ladies has gone viral on social media. Khan had initially considered playing the role of a police officer but later chose actor Ravi Kishan for the part.

The clip shows Khan dressed in a police uniform, chewing betel leaf, and delivering dialogues in a Bihari-Bhojpuri accent. 

After the clip went viral, social media users shared their thoughts on the casting decision. Many agreed that Aamir made the right call by selecting Ravi Kishan for the role of Inspector Shyam Manohar.

Comments included, “Ravi Kishan was perfect for the role,” and “No doubt that Aamir is a great actor but Ravi Kishan nailed that role ,it was meant for him.” Others added "Ravi kishan was just being himself in the movie and it worked!."

Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies received widespread acclaim and was in the race for the Oscars this year. The film has been widely appreciated for its performances, direction, and storytelling
