Actor Amar Shashank has been  reportedly arrested by Raidurgam police for allegedly abusing a female acquaintance in a verbal spat regarding a business transaction. A video of Amar shouting at a woman is already doing the rounds on social media. Amar is expected to address the media regarding the issue today evening. As per a TOI, report, Amar along with his friend Swathi went to Srividya's residence to question her about a machinery that his friend Rashmi claims to be hers. It led to a brawl between both the parties with Raidurgam police soon taking Amar into custody based on a complaint against him. Rashmi, Srividya and Swathi ran a boutique in Manikonda before they ended their partnership due to differences.

Rashmi and Swathi reportedly claim a sewing machine that is in Srividya's possession which led to the spat. Speaking to ETimes TV about the issue, Amar said, "I was intentionally framed in this. Swathi and I went to Srividya's house to ask for the machine and she (Srividya) along with Uma and Ramesh initially agreed to give it. But later, they called Lakshmi Sri, Uma and a local thug and refused to give the machine. Lakshmi deliberately shot the argument and made my portion viral on social media. Swathi and I were not on talking terms with Aparna and Ramesh for a while now and Aparna has been waiting for a chance to book me. Otherwise, there were almost 15 people in the room; why is that a carefully edited portion of mine put on social media? "He added, "My lawyer is working on getting me a bail soon and I might possibly address the media on the issue very soon. I've to make my points loud and clear."
