Mumbai, May 14 Bollywood singer Rahul Vaidya has come out strongly in support of actress Alia Bhatt after the latter faced a huge amount of trolling on social media following her recent appearance at the Cannes Film Festival.

Alia, who is currently making heads turn with her glamorous red carpet appearances at the global event, recently found herself at the center of online criticism after a video of her walking the red carpet went viral.

In the viral clip, Alia was seen confidently walking on the red carpet as international photographers captured her. But a section of Indian social media users began mocking the actress, claiming she wasn’t receiving enough recognition or attention on the international platform, especially by the media.

Reacting to the trolling, Rahul took to his social media accounts and wrote, “Funny how people sitting with zero achievements become fashion critics, Cannes analysts, and global PR experts overnight.”

“At least Alia Bhatt is out there representing India on one of the biggest global platforms, looking absolutely stunning, owning her space, and making her presence felt.”

“Not every moment needs screaming crowds and manufactured hype to validate someone’s worth. Real stars don’t beg for attention — they carry it naturally,” he further wrote.

‘The obsession some portals have with tearing successful women down for clicks is honestly embarrassing now. Negativity gets views, but talent, hard work, and grace always outlive cheap headlines.”

“She looked beautiful. She IS a huge star. And most importantly, she’s talented enough to not need validation from Instagram comment sections.”

“Maybe instead of constantly trying to humble successful people, learn to appreciate Indians shining globally.”

Earlier, on Wednesday, actor Aly Goni, who also shares a close bond with Rahul Vaidya, had extended his support to Alia and called out those mocking her on global platforms. Sharing his thoughts, Ali wrote, “It’s sad when our own people try to pull down someone who has worked so hard to put India on the global stage. Alia Bhatt has reached places many only dream of, representing our country at Cannes with grace and pride. Instead of mocking and trolling, we should celebrate and support those who make India shine internationally. We rise higher when we uplift our own, not when we try to demean them.”

Talking about Alia Bhatt, the actress is continuing to make headlines from the Cannes Film Festival, this year.
