Farah Khan's Satte Pe Satta has been in the news ever since the movie was announced. For the longest time there has been constant buzz with regards to the main hero of the film. From Hrithik Roshan to Salman Khan and then Ajay Devgn the makers were not able to finalize the male protagonist and there were reports also that the movie was shelved. However, if recent reports are to be believed then Ajay Devgn has given his nod to the script which is bankrolled by Rohit Shetty.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Ajay has given his consent for the film and with Rohit Shetty on board there was no looking back for the Tanhaji star. It does not come as a surprise as Rohit and Ajay are extremely close to each other and with team facing a hurdle, Devgn has stepped in to rescue good friend Ajay who is basking on the success of his 100th Bollywood film.

The female lead for the film is yet to be locked and once the heroine is confirmed the other details will be looked upon. There were rumors of Anushka Sharma being part of the project but the actress is reportedly set to feature in a sports biopic based on Jhulan Goswami's life. Satte Pe Satta is a 1982 Hindi action comedy film that featured Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Amjad Khan Shakti Kapoor, and Sachin.
