Following the success of 'Raid' (2018), Ajay Devgn will reprise his role as Income Tax officer Amay Patnaik in the sequel, 'Raid 2.' Devgn recently revealed the film's poster and announced its release date. Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, "Raid 2" features a strong supporting cast, including Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 1, 2025.

Devgn shared the poster on social media, stating, "New City. New Case File. And a New Raid by Amay Patnaik. #Raid2 coming to cinemas near you on May 1st, 2025." The release date of "Raid 2" has been changed several times. It was initially set for November 15, 2024, then moved to February 21, 2025, before finally being scheduled for May 1, 2025. The film was primarily filmed in Delhi and Lucknow, and promises to be another thrilling experience.

'Raid' was based on a real income tax raid from the 1980s, which lasted three days and two nights, making it the longest raid in Indian history. 'Raid 2' is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in association with Panorama Studios.
