Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who on Sunday tested COIVD-19 positive, has been hospitalized in Hiranandani hospital in Powai, Mumbai. He confirmed the same by sharing an official statement on Twitter saying: “Thank you, everyone, for all your prayers warm wishes. They seem to be working. I am doing fine but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalized. I hope to be back soon. Take care.” 

Actor Akshay Kumar on Sunday informed,"I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself," he wrote.

Hoping to get back in action soon, Kumar added, "I am under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care of. Back in action very soon!"

As soon as the actor announced the news, scores of fans wished him a speedy recovery. After Akshay, 45 crew members have tested positive for coronavirus. They were supposed to join the set on Monday, April 5 in Madh Island. All of them have been quarantined.
