Akshay Kumar took to social media to wish his followers a Happy New Year. The actor shared a video of a rising sun while reciting the Gayatri Mantra in the backdrop. He wrote, "Here’s the first sunrise of 2021, in case you missed it. Praying for everyone’s success and happiness, wishing for a great year ahead! Happy New Year everyone (sic)."Meanwhile, Akki’s wife, Twinkle Khanna has put up an adorable selfie with the ‘Bell Bottom’ actor as she penned down a hilarious caption for 2020. It read, “Happy new year and get lost you awful 2020!.” 

On the work front, Akshay was recently shooting in New Delhi with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush for Atrangi Re. The film will star him a never-seen-before avatar along with Sara and Dhanush. It is helmed by Aanand L Rai and produced by Bhushan Kumar. Besides this, Akshay also has Bell Bottom with Vaani Kapoor and Prithviraj with Manushi Chhillar. Akshay Kumar's Sooravanshi is awaiting its theatrical release. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty and is the fourth film in the director's cop universe.
