Just when fans were expecting Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan to make a thunderous post-credit entry in 'War 2', YRF has taken a bold detour. As per sources, the film will introduce the 'Alpha' agents played by Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh in a carefully designed post-credit sequence that connects directly to the next YRF Spy Universe film.

A source closely associated with the project confirmed, "The decision to not include Shah Rukh Khan in the post-credit scene is strategic. For 'War 2', the focus is on what comes next – and that's Alpha". Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, who lead YRF's first female-led spy film 'Alpha' slated for release in December 2025, will be introduced in a short but powerful cameo at the end of 'War 2', similar to how Marvel teases its next chapters. YRF has also been following the same pattern since 'Ek Tha Tiger', 'Pathaan' and 'Tiger 3'.

The source said, "It's short, yes, but it has tension, mystery and a hint of what these two women are capable of. It's not just a cameo – it's a setup."

Another source revealed that the post-credit scene was shot separately under tight security. "The cameo was filmed quietly earlier this year, with minimal crew."

The move also helps build early buzz for Alpha, which has been in production under high secrecy. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film marks a bold step forward for the Spy Universe, focusing on two female agents from completely different backgrounds who join forces.

"Alpha is as ambitious as War 2 or Pathaan – it's just more grounded and character-driven," the source said.
