Days after Alia Bhatt's Sadak 2 trailer received million dislikes on Youtube  amid the nepotism debate fans of the Raazi star have come forward to support their beloved actress. Alia Bhatt’s fans got together and started spreading positive messages showing their support to the star. Many pointed out that Alia is an immensely talented actress, and that even if one is a star kid, they need talent to survive in the film industry. Several clips of Alia Bhatt’s role in her previous films were shared, and her fans were all praise for Alia’s acting prowess.

Sadak 2' has been drawing ire on social media since Sushant Singh Rajput's death on June 14. The insider vs outsider debate reignited on social media with Sushan's death. A section of the internet also believes that he was a victim of "Bollywoood's nepotistic attitude towards outsiders" as the actor allegedly lost seven films earlier. Sadak 2 features Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt. The film is the sequel to the 1991 film Sadak. The movie marks the directorial comeback of Mahesh Bhatt after many years.
