Posting a picture with him on Instagram, actor Alia Bhatt on Monday extended birthday greetings to her "friend, father and family," Karan Johar.

The 'Student Of The Year' actor took to Instagram to post a picture in which she is seen posing.

While Alia is seen slaying in an embellished white coloured gown, Karan is all suited up black coloured suit which he paired with a matching bowtie.

"Happy birthday my friend, father.. my family," Alia wrote in the caption.

"Here's to many many many more moments of love, laughs, movies and our uncontrollable need to pose for pictures and selfies," her caption further read.

The director, producer turned 48 on Monday and several Bollywood celebrities extended best wishes to him on the occasion.
