Actress Ananya Panday paid rich tribute to her late grandmother through her latest Instagram post. The Student of the Year 2 star penned a heartfelt note describing her ‘the life of the family.'Taking to her official Instagram handle, the Pati, Patni Aur Woh actress wrote, “Rest in power, my angel..when she was born the doctors said she wouldn’t live beyond a few years because of a defected heart valve, but my Dadi lived and how. She worked every day up until the age of 85, going to work at 7 am in her block heels and red-streaked hair. She inspired me every single day to do what I love and I’m so grateful to have grown up basking in her energy and light. She had the softest hands to hold, gave the best leg massages, she was a self proclaimed (and very politically incorrect) palm reader and never ever failed to make me laugh. The life of our family. You’re too loved to ever be forgotten Dadi - I love you so much.”
For the unversed, Bollywood actor Chunky Panday’s mother and Ananya Panday’s grandmother Snehlata Pandey passed away on July 10 at the age of 85. Chunky along with his daughters Ananya and Rysa arrived at her residence. Ananya broke down as she bid final goodbye to her grandmother. Other celebrities like Neelam Kothari, Samir Soni, Seema Khan, Deanne Pandey, Sajid Khan among others also arrived to mourn the loss and offered condolences to the bereaved family. Baba Siddique and Sohail Khan’s son Nirvan Khan were also spotted. Many friends and relatives gathered to pay last respects to Chunky’s late mother who was a famous doctor.On the work front, Ananya Panday will be seen next in Shakun Batra’s untitled film. It also stars Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Apart from this, Ananya also has Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Liger in the pipeline.
