Actor Anil Kapoor has condemned the shocking attack on students and teachers of Jawaharlal Nehru University. At the trailer launch of Malang Anil said, “It has to be condemned. It was quite sad and shocking, what I saw. It was very disturbing and I didn’t sleep the entire night thinking about what is happening. Nothing is going to happen with violence. Those who have done this should be punished,” said Anil Kapoor. 

Echoing the same opinion as his co-star actor Aditya Roy Kapur added, “There is no place for that kind of violence in our country.” People from across various sectors questioned the severe bruatlity metted aout to the students and teachers. Bollywood celebrities like Swara Bhaskar, Ranvir Shorey, Twinkle Khanna, Anurag Kashyap, Shabana Azmi, Riteish Deshmukh and others have condemned the attack and shared their views on social media.
