Mumbai, April 17 Actress Apoorva Arora, who is receiving a lot of positive response to her work in the streaming series ‘Family Aaj Kal’, has shared that she sported a no-makeup look for the show.
The actress said that the decision to go for a no-makeup look was a last minute thing and wasn’t planned.
Elaborating on the same, she said: “It was a last-minute plan for me to go without makeup. In fact, I removed my makeup on the first day of shoot after getting it done because it didn’t feel like Meher to have makeup on. I spoke to the director and asked them if they’ll allow me to go makeup free.”
She further spoke about her skincare and said that she likes to practise minimalism for the same.
She said: “My approach to skincare has been very very simple and I believe that less is more. Topical application will only take you so far. It’s what you put in your body that matters. Even exercising helps keep the skin clear but since I was asked not to workout by the director, I made sure I ate food that would help me keep my skin hydrated and energy levels high.”
Apoorva's influence extends beyond her on-screen work, as she holds a significant fan base across digital platforms. Her ability to connect with audiences on a personal level has made her a favourite among viewers, her performances resonate deeply with fans.
Responding to the appreciation of her work, the actress said: “A lot of people came up to me and said that this is my best work till date and probably my most mature acting performance because it is very easy to play it in a very stereotypical way when the character is about a daughter in a middle-class family setup, that’s the feedback I’ve got from many people.”
“I didn’t let vanity get in the way of becoming Meher and I have not worn any makeup unless it’s stepping out of the house and my hair is also unkempt and outfits were deliberately also kept a certain way which was really appreciated and many people won’t agree to things like that,” she added.
