Vadh 2, one of the most anticipated spiritual sequels of 2026, is steadily nearing its theatrical release, with excitement continuing to build among audiences. Led by powerhouse performers Neena Gupta and Sanjay Mishra, the actor-driven franchise has kept viewers hooked ever since the trailer dropped.
Adding a deeply emotional dimension to the film’s promotional journey, Sanjay Mishra, Neena Gupta, and Kumud Mishra recently returned to the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. As proud alumni of the iconic institution, the trio were welcomed with immense warmth by students, faculty members, and theatre lovers, turning the visit into a heartfelt celebration of cinema, theatre, and craft.
During the interaction, Sanjay Mishra fondly reflected on his formative years at NSD and the invaluable lessons he absorbed simply by observing his seniors, especially the late Irrfan Khan. Speaking about his experience, Mishra said:
“I don’t even know what I learned or didn’t learn at NSD, but what I truly had were people like Irrfan bhai. You could simply watch him. Virendra Saxena was there, Ankur ji was there, Robin Das is sitting right in front of you today while you’re busy looking at your mobile phones. Just watching them was a lesson in itself. Anup da as well these were people you kept observing. I remember once thinking, while Irrfan bhai was performing, ‘When will this man start acting?’ That’s the level at which he was playing the game.”
Written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vadh 2 sees Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta in entirely new roles while retaining the emotional and philosophical depth of the original. Backed by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg’s Luv Films, the spiritual sequel has emerged as one of the most talked-about films of 2026.
The buzz surrounding the film grew stronger following its Gala Premiere screening at the 56th IFFI 2025, which received thunderous applause. A Luv Films presentation, Vadh 2 is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 6th February 2026.
